Most of our organizations have unpaid volunteers doing significant work to support the mission, vision and values of our programs. Through an analysis of our current volunteer management practices we can improve our approach, target our volunteer recruitment, meaningfully place, train and retain volunteers. Volunteers are the best promoters and supporters of a community based program, lending visibility and energy, diversity and community energy. We can all improve our perspective and practices around volunteer management and be better non-profit leaders as a result. Judith holds a Volunteer Management Fundamentals Certificate through VolunteerPro and will utilize current and authoritative best practices to make the case that a diverse, empowered volunteer workforce is transformative for all our programs.
