Leadership of Self and Others: It Has to Start with You

with Andrea Seabert, Centralia College & Camp Victory for Children

Leadership is a set of behaviors and skills that individuals can develop and master. Success in modern organizations is defined by how individuals understand of the needs of their stakeholders including employees, volunteers, clients, donors, and the community.   In order to provide good leadership, one must start with knowing yourself.

In this session, we will begin to uncover our implicit and explicit biases through hands on activities.   We will expand our awareness of self and others in the context of service delivery and organizational management.  Cultural humility and intercultural communication will be explored.

This session will be helpful for front line employees through executive leadership or anyone looking to examine how their own personal identity may impact their work as well as the constituents they serve.
