Crafting Compelling Narratives: Storytelling for Nonprofits
with Sanjukta Shams from Case for Support Counseling
The key message is that effective storytelling goes beyond mere information sharing; it evokes emotions, inspires support, and creates lasting connections with stakeholders. Participants will learn how to identify their organization’s unique narrative, convey its mission and impact, and articulate its needs through engaging stories. One challenge many local nonprofits face is standing out in a crowded field, where potential supporters are bombarded with messages and requests for help. This workshop will equip attendees with practical skills to craft compelling narratives that resonate with their audiences, making their organization’s mission more relatable and inspiring. For instance, a nonprofit struggling to raise funds for a community program can learn to share powerful stories from program beneficiaries that highlight the tangible impact of their support.
