The Nonprofit Leaders Conference will be returning to Grays Harbor College on Friday, September 18 for another day of education, information, and resources to help small and mid-size nonprofit organizations thrive.
The Board of Directors is very excited to announce the Keynote presentation with Megan Sukys, the Vice President of Communications for the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.
Megan helps the community learn about the needs, opportunities, and insights that make Pierce County a great place to live. From stories about nonprofits, philanthropists, and community initiatives to strategies for bringing together diverse partners in ambitious collaborations, she is always looking for ways that connecting individuals and organizations can bring about solutions to problems and help realize our greatest potential.
She first connected with GTCF in 2015 as an independent consultant producing a peer learning storytelling series with nonprofit grantees. Community has been at the heart of her career through many different jobs. As a stage manager for a North Carolina community theatre, a longtime public radio host, editor, and producer at KUOW-NPR Seattle, and as a storycrafting consultant, her goal has always been to build community connections through sharing personal experiences and wisdom. Megan earned a BA in Theatre Arts from The University of the South, Sewanee and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Math.
